Here's what happened. I was broke. I mean, really broke. In debt, jobless, and behind on rent. I needed to make some money quick. Not in a few months or in few weeks, I needed money right now.
It wasn't always like that. My wife and I both had jobs. We were doing fine, quite good actually. We were making enough money to pay the bills and get by. Things were going pretty good.
Then, pretty much out of nowhere, I got laid off. I really didnt see it coming. And I can tell you, it did not feel good. We had a rent payments, car payments, and so on. What hurt me the most was that I couldn't put my son in baseball which he was dying to play. That was heart breaking. I had to do something, I had to change, and quick.
I heard about making money online before but I didn't know too much about it...It sounded good though, work from home and make money.
I wasn't particularly good with the internet or my computer, but I had basic typing skills and I knew how to navigate through Google. So of course I was scared-how was I going to make money online when I didn't know anything? But I had too...this was my out.
My wife wasn't particularly excited either. She thought I should be handing out resumes, not wasting my time in front of the computer. I wouldn't listen though, I handed out enough resumes already, with no response..... I needed to make something happen for myself, something I could rely on, something that wouldn't lay me off in a few months.
So I gave it a shot. I was determined. At first, not everything worked for me. I tried a few things, and actually lost some money that I couldn't afford to lose. But I didn't give up, not this time.
And then it happened: I MADE MY FIRST SALE. It really worked. I was really making money online. And it didn't stop there. Now I was even more determined, I saw the results, they were real.
I was making money online, running my own business! All of sudden things didn't feel so bad anymore. I felt invincible. I had a smile on my face for a month. My wife noticed how happy I was, it was such a great feeling. She was starting to think that maybe this internet stuff wasn't such a bad idea.
It wasn't too much longer after that until I started making consistent sales. It turns out, getting layed off was actually the best thing that could have happened to me.
